Obelisks

Obelisks are large stone pillars which take offerings in order to purge miasma from Snacko Island, unlocking new areas. Each biome has an obelisk, and completing all four is required to complete the story. Please note this page may contain story spoilers.

To make an offering to an Obelisk, fill all of the offering slots with the items requested from your inventory. Some slots can take more than one kind of item; these slots will switch between the options every few seconds (as long as the slot is not currently selected or full). The sections below have a table with one column for each slot - if a slot has more than one option, all of the options will be listed together.

Grassy Plains

After entering the Grassy Plains for the first time, the next morning a cutscene will play where the Land Sprite is introduced. On entering the Grassy Plains again, the farmer and Land Sprite are directed to enter and complete their first Shrine and meet Trava. On exiting the shrine, Trava takes the form of a scarecrow next to a treasure chest and asks for 20 turnips; the chest contains the required 20 turnips. After speaking to Trava with 20 turnips in your inventory, he teleports near the mines. Speaking to him again teleports him to the lotus pond, and speaking to him one last time will reveal the obelisk.

Desert Canyon

The day after completing the Grassy Plains obelisk, the Desert Canyon is unlocked. On approaching the large skull near the center of the desert, Glina appears and asks for "red eyes" for the skull. When approaching the skull with two rubies in your inventory, interacting with the skull will place them into its eye sockets (the rubies will be lost) and Glina will reveal the obelisk.

Mushroom Forest

The day after completing the Desert Canyon obelisk, the Mushroom Forest is unlocked. Entering will prompt a cutscene where the Land Sprite says to look for something suspicious. There are five glowing yellow-green mushrooms which form a circle around the large tree in the center of the area; interacting with one of these will make it stop glowing, and trigger a cutscene. After interacting with all five mushrooms, Cheri appears and reveals the obelisk.

Frozen Tundra

The day after completing the Mushroom Forest obelisk, the Frozen Tundra will be unlocked. Entering the Frozen Tundra will trigger a cutscene with Miraz, who reveals the obelisk. The main difficulty of this obelisk is getting to it - there is an icy ramp that starts in the north east, which is the easiest way to get to the top of the mountain. Jumping when your walking slows will help to slide forward on the ice.
